The Choose Chicago convention calendar lists a steady run of events in the final months of the year. PACK EXPO International takes place Oct. 18 to 21, followed by the ANCC Magnet and Pathway Conference on Oct. 29 to 31 and the AHA 2026 Scientific Sessions on Nov. 6 to 9. The IEEE SC26 International Conference runs from Nov. 15 to 20. The calendar continues with the RSNA 2026 Annual Meeting from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3 and The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference from Dec. 16 to 18. Corporate travel demand is rising. The 2026 Deloitte Corporate Travel Study, published Oct. 7, found that 85% of the travel managers surveyed report expanding budgets, up from 74% in 2025. Deloitte’s survey of about 150 U.S.-based travel managers shows an average budget increase of 12% in 2026, with a 10% increase expected in 2027. Only 2% of the travel managers surveyed expect travel to decline.
